I-9 Authorized Representative Service
Whale and Witness Notary Services provides in-person I-9 Authorized Representative services for employers and remote hires throughout South Houston and surrounding communities by accurately completing Section 2 of Form I-9 as your designated agent.
What This Service Includes
As an authorized representative, we review the employee’s original documents, complete and sign Section 2 of Form I-9 on behalf of the employer, and return the form as directed. This is not a notarization and does not use a notarial seal.
What Employees Should Bring
- A printed copy of Form I-9 with Section 1 completed and signed.
- Original identity and work authorization documents from the Lists of Acceptable Documents (no photocopies).
- Any instructions your employer provided about where to send the completed form.
What Employers Should Provide
- A clear request naming Whale and Witness Notary Services (or your chosen representative) as the authorized representative.
- Any specific instructions for completing Section 2 or returning the form.
- A contact person we can reach if there are questions at the appointment.
What This Service Does Not Include
This is not legal advice and not a notarization. We do not decide which documents an employee should present, and we do not place a notarial seal on Form I-9. Our role is to follow federal I-9 instructions as your authorized representative.
